In March, Crecer was honored by the Georgia State House of Representatives and Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, during the final days of the 2017-2018 legislative session. Crecer officers were present when House Resolution 1336, commending Crecer for its dedication and service to the community, was highlighted for the congressional record. Georgia has become a logistics “Super Hub” with the most extensive rail system in the Southeast and the fourth largest port in the U.S. The city of Atlanta is a robust center for film and television production and is collaborating with major corporations, growth and mid-stage companies, startups, and research universities to launch commercial innovations. Georgia is attracting talent and Crecer’s ability to attract, engage, and retain Hispanic talent for UPS is meaningful.

In June, UPS and Crecer’s support for the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) culminated in the premier sponsorship of the GHCC Annual Awards Gala, the largest Hispanic business Gala in the Southeast. The GHCC awards recognize outstanding Hispanic leaders and businesses. UPS Crecer leaders participate in the GHCC/University of Georgia Cultivating Hispanic Leadership Institute founded by UPS which is a six-month program teaching leadership skills, teamwork, personal leadership styles, and participation in governmental and nonprofit activities.
