What were the Hispanic inclusion trends in 2021?

The 2022 HACRCorporate Inclusion Index(CII) report showcases the HACR CII ratings designed around two focus areas – a practice assessment and an outcomes assessment for each of HACR’s four pillars: Employment, Procurement, Philanthropy, and Governance.  The 2022 report highlights activities from the 2021 calendar year.

In each pillar, the practice assessment consists of 25 elements that examine what type of support or infrastructure a company has in place for diversity and inclusion, while the outcomes assessment examines five key indicators by which we can evaluate progress.

Key findings from the 2022 HACR CII include:

  • More than one fifth of non-exempt employees are Hispanic
  • On average, 2022 CII participants spent $1.08B with Hispanic suppliers which represents just over two (2) percent of their total procurement spend with is $1.27T.
  • Average corporate and foundation contributions to Hispanic communities decreased to the lowest levels in three years, 12 and 23 percent respectively.
  • Latinas represent just under three (3) percent of corporate executives(top three tiers of leadership) and less than two (2) percent (1.8%) of board directors
